Planning for a Responsive Home outside the old development boundary

We recently succeeded in getting planning permission for a new build responsive home in Tintagel!

The design uses passive solar design and incorporates a sunspace with a heavy trombe wall. The sunspace is partially sheltered by the roof overhang to block out the summer sun, but allow the winter sun to enter and heat the trombe wall, which will slowly release the stored heat over the day and night.

The mono-pitch roof slopes up away from the surrounding houses so that the green and meadow planting on top is visible looking from the village to the fields beyond.
