Regaining Expired Planning Permissions

Recently we’ve had a couple of clients returning to us to renew planning permissions we had previously gained for them which, having not started construction within 3 years of the date of approval, had expired.

Resubmitting the documents is relatively straight forward, though planning requirements can change in the time since the original application was made, and so additional documents may need to be provided.

Even though planning permission had been granted before, with potentially changing planning guidance and the interpretation of that guidance by individual planning officers, a repeat approval is not guaranteed. Fortunately for our 3 resubmissions, all gained approval.
